
Step 1: Check Eligibility
- Age: Must be between 20 to 24 years (varies slightly by branch)
- Educational Qualification:
- Flying Branch: Graduation with Physics and Maths at 10+2 or BE/B.Tech
- Technical Branch: BE/B.Tech in Engineering disciplines
- Ground Duty: Graduation or Post Graduation in specified subjects
- Physical Fitness: Medical standards per IAF norms
Step 2: Register on Official Website
- Visit https://afcat.cdac.in
- Click on ‘Apply Online’ for AFCAT 02/2025
- Fill in basic personal details to create your profile (email, phone, name, DOB)
- Verify through OTP sent to email and phone
Step 3: Fill Application Form
- Log in with your credentials
- Complete the detailed application form with:
- Personal details (address, parents’ info)
- Educational qualifications
- Choice of branch (Flying/Technical/Ground Duty)
- Upload scanned photo and signature as per specifications (usually JPG/JPEG, size ~10-50KB)
- Review all details carefully
Step 4: Pay Application Fee
- Pay INR 250 (General/OBC) online via debit/credit card or net banking
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from fee
- Keep receipt/transaction ID for future reference
Step 5: Submit Application and Print
- Submit the final application form
- Download and print the confirmation page and application form copy for your records
- No need to send any physical documents at this stage
Step 6: Download Admit Card
- Admit card will be available online a couple of weeks before exam
- Download and print it to carry on exam day
