Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Matriculation (SSLC/10th Standard) plus two-year ITI in any of the following trades:
  • Electrician
  • Instrument Mechanic
  • Electronics Mechanic
  • Wireman
  • Fitter
  • Mechanic Computer Hardware
  • Mechanic – Industrial Electronics
  • Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance
  • Mechanic Communication Equipment Maintenance
  • Mechanic Mechatronics
• Alternatively, equivalent qualification certified by NCVT/NCTVT/NAC as recognized by the Defense Services.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years as on April 23, 2025.
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge of Kannada is essential.
• Character Certificate (not older than 3 months) from the Defense Establishment/Educational Institution/Gazetted Officer is required.

Salary Details

• Pay Scale: ₹25,000 – ₹59,060 with 3% annual increment.
• Allowances: As applicable per the rules of the BMRCL O&M Wing.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination:
   • Total Questions: 100 (Multiple Choice Questions)
   • Duration: 120 minutes
   • Subjects:
     • General Knowledge: 30 questions
     • Reasoning and Analytics: 30 questions
     • Technical Proficiency: 40 questions
   • Marking Scheme:
     • +1 mark for each correct answer
     • -0.25 mark for each incorrect answer
   • Medium: English
2. Interview:
   • Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will be called for an interview.

   • Vision Checkup (Distance Vision: 6/6 without glasses, Near Vision: Sn 0.6)
   • Fundo Scope/Refraction
   • ENT Checkup (Eyes, Nose, and Throat)
