
In an effort to strengthen the Indo-US partnership with regards to technology and innovation, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi spoke with the SpaceX owner,
Mr. Elon Musk. During the call, Musk said that he plans to visit India somewhere during the year.
On Saturday, Musk tweeted, “It was an honor to speak with PM Modi. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year.”
During the same call, Mr. Modi and Mr. Musk discussed other matters of concern and innovation and technology collaboration opportunities.
Musk shared a post on the X platform saying, “It was an honour to speak with PM Modi. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year.”
On Friday, Mr. Modi had a talk with the Tesla CEO regarding a host of matters.
“Spoke to Elon Musk and talked about various issues, including the topics we covered during our meeting in Washington DC earlier this year.
We talked about the immense possibilities of collaboration for the growth of the technology and infrastructures and innovation in India and the USA.
India is committed to deepening our relations with,” Mr. Modi tweeted on the social media platform, X.Earlier this year in February,
The Prime Minister met Musk during his visit to America and stated “Had a very good meeting with Elon Musk in Washington.
Discussed various issues; many of them I’m passionate about such as space, mobility, technology and innovation,
and also talked about India’s efforts towards reform and furthering ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.’” This was stated by PM Modi on X after the meeting.
In another post, the Prime Minister posted a few pictures of him with Musk’s children and captioned it:
“It was also a delight to meet Mr. Elon Musk’s family and to talk about a wide range of subjects.”
These conversations come at a time when Tesla is looking to enter the Indian market.
This is also coming to light with the ongoing talks of a trade agreement that is in the works between India and the United States.
This week, Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal held a meeting in Delhi with high-level delegates from Musk’s Starlink to discuss investment strategies for India.
Goyal noted on X that, “Met a delegation from Starlink which included Vice President Chad Gibbs and Senior Director Ryan Goodnight.
Discussion included Starlink’s technology platform, their partnerships & investment plans in India.”
